Description

The UNC Department of Psychiatry is seeking a psychiatrist to work virtually providing psychiatric care via our EPIC platform. The position will be equally split between performing telepsychiatry consultations to patients in emergency departments and on inpatient medical/surgical units throughout the UNC Health system and serving as a vritual attending physician for patients on an inpatient adult psychiatry unit. You will work virtually, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the mental well-being and recovery of patients. The candidate will maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EPIC) and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This position offers the flexibility of virtual work while making a significant impact on the lives of those in need. The primary shift would be weekdays, daytime hours and yet require participation in the call pool for occasional weekend coverage. 

Requirements

• MD/DO.
• Board eligible/certified psychiatrist. 
• Eligible for a state of North Carolina medical license.
